Tutoring ProgramJefferson Park Ministries Tutoring Learning Center has been approved by the State of NJ Department of Education to provide Supplemental Education Services (SES) to student attending schools that are in needs of improvement. The goal of the tutoring program is to help students succeed in school and to become more confident about themselves. Children who are struggling in school are more likely to exhibit risky behaviors in society. All students have been assessed prior to enrollment to determine their academic level. We also take progress reports and report cards into consideration as baselines to measure program outcomes. The tutoring program is managed by a group of qualified teachers who reside in the community. The program is implemented in partnership with the Elizabeth School District. |
